The NTI Natural Foods Chef Program combines an understanding of nutrients with the skills of cutting, chopping, braising, roasting, boiling and much, much more. You study how nutrients work in the body, why they are important and how they effect the health of each organ. Then you create menus based on which nutrients support specific health needs. For example, if you know someone who has osteoporosis, you would want a menu plan that includes calcium, vitamin D, magnesium, phosphorus and other nutrients. You find out which foods contain these nutrients and you build a menu based on these foods.
  • Our program is 17 weeks long.
  • Classes meet 18 hours per week with an additional 80 hours of Internship.
  • The course schedule accommodates people who work part time or have flexible work schedules.
  • Learn to cook from recipes and at the same time, unleash your creative side — understand the principles of cooking techniques so you don’t have to rely on recipes.
  • Develop your own menu plans and carve your niche in the growing demand for healthy living.
