Ashlie’s educational background includes a BA in Psychology and Integrative Therapeutic Practices from Metropolitan State University, a Masters degree in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport. She has additional training in fertility, nutritional endocrinology, treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and herbology. While pursuing her education, Ashlie worked for several years at Natural Grocers as the Vitamins and Supplements Assistant Manager and has been in the alternative health fields for over 10 years. She also had the opportunity to work with the University of Colorado School of Medicine on a research project that focused on weight management strategies and nutritional education for low-income families. Ashlie has worked for several clinics as a Chiropractic associate and acupuncturist and is currently in the process of opening her own clinic and non-profit education center, Empowered Health Colorado, in Arvada, Colorado in August of 2019. Ashlie has a passion for teaching individuals about nutrition and holistic health and a desire to empower individuals on their own journey of self-healing. Ashlie has worked at NTI for 3 years helping with curriculum development and currently teaches Weight Management and Sports Nutrition and Life Cycles and Healthy Aging online.
