Additional Costs: Books and knives
The books required for our NFC program are carefully selected to provide a useful background on the many cooking techniques and food preparations covered in the kitchen. Students purchase books independently; NTI does not sell books. The cost of books varies considerably depending on where they are purchased. There are online book vendors that offer used books at discount prices. Book lists are distributed to students when payment and enrollment forms for NFC program have been received. Budget approximately $200-$300 for books for the full program. Additionally, at Week 3 of the program, students will be required to purchase 3 knives from a vendor of their choosing. Do not purchase knives prior to Week 3. Costs vary depending on the brand of the knives but range from $100 to $400. Books and knives remain the property of the student.
Financial Policy
Students can pay tuition any day prior to the first day of class. Payment plans are also available. Contact our administrative office with questions.

Students will then have 3 business days to cancel their Enrollment Agreement and/or registration via email and in order to get their 10% deposit refunded. After this 3-day period, the 10% deposit will become non-refundable even if the student withdraws or cancels before the first day of class.
