The End of an Era
NTI is discontinuing its Natural Food Chef (NFC) program
The 15+ year run of NTI’s NFC program has been a blast and we are so proud of the many students who have honored us with their trust and commitment to an exceptional, one-of-kind, professional chef training program. In their own ways, each of them would likely say that their life was transformed due to their NFC experience. And now they are all NFC graduates, out in the world, providing deep nourishment to all who are lucky enough to eat their lovely meals. To all of NTI’s certified Natural Food Chefs, you have the knowledge and expertise to tangibly help others achieve optimal wellness through the foods you prepare – it’s a gift that you can give for the rest of your lives. Congrats!
It is no great revelation that the way people pursue education has changed. The desire for in-person learning that requires a lengthy obligation to regular attendance has waned. Short-term, condensed online classes are the new standard, especially with cooking, and is what most people now expect. The unique training we provide in our NFC certification program simply isn’t suited to ‘quick reels’. While it brings us no pleasure to make this decision, our business requires that we acquiesce to the diminishing demand for in-person chef training and halt our NFC program.
For those who missed out on the opportunity to participate in our NFC program, we hope you peruse the NFC grad page on our website and hire one of our amazing chefs to cook for you. Some of them also teach cooking classes as part of their business offerings, so you still have a chance to learn how to prepare some amazing food. Bon Appetit!
While NTI’s NFC program has been discontinued, this has no impact on our Nutrition Therapist Master Certification (NTMC) program. We will continue to offer premier comprehensive science-based nutrition education for those wishing to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to position themselves in the growing field of holistic wellness care. Our NTMC program will continue to be offered in two online formats: Group Start and Independent Start. Independent Start is a fully self-paced learning format that includes recorded lectures and downloadable slide decks. Group Start is a cohort learning opportunity where, in addition to recorded lectures and downloadable slides, students participate in weekly webinars and interact with their instructors and classmates.
Thanks to all who have made NTI a great school for the past 25 years. We are looking forward to the future with the same passion and dedication to our mission of making a difference in the world by creating optimal health through holistic nutrition education.
