A 5-week webinar seminar for NTI students and graduates in March 2021

We all know that chronic stress is a problem in our society. It is one of the leading causative factors for cardiovascular disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune diseases and various gastrointestinal concerns. Hypothalamic-pituitary adrenal (HPA) axis dysfunction is commonly present in individuals post trauma and after prolonged stress. More and more individuals are looking for natural solutions to help manage their concerns which often are not properly addressed by modern medicine.

Adaptogens include a class of herbs shown to support the HPA axis. As a result, they help moderate the stress response so the body is supported in dealing with everyday stressors as well as in recovery from prolonged stress or trauma. This webinar is specifically targeted for holistic nutrition professionals. It will discuss the relationship between adaptogens and their supportive function in the human stress response, the individual roles played by the top adaptogenic herbs, as well as how they can be properly integrated into a clinical nutrition practice.

Your guide for this adaptogen seminar is Megan Grover. Megan is a long-time instructor at NTI, currently teaching a variety of courses. She received a Master of Medical Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Sheffield in England. Megan has traveled and roamed much of the globe where she has explored the healing traditions. She is passionate about educating individuals regarding their health and looking at the body from a holistic approach, understanding that all aspects are integrated. Megan’s love for using herbs as a complement to nutrition protocols came from her training at Herbalism Roots in Denver, and since then she has continued to mainly focus on adaptogenic herbs and their clinical use for imbalanced HPA axis dysfunction.
