Introduction to Cannabinoid Therapeutics

November 8th & 15th | 6-9 pm MDT
Presented by Luke Terry

This seminar will cover the basics of the endocannabinoid system as it applies to Nutrition Therapy. The seminar covers the endogenous cannabinoid molecules that our bodies produce naturally and their role in our health.

The seminar will also cover the major and minor cannabinoid receptor sites and their function, including the foods, botanicals, and supplements that interact with them. This includes, but is not limited to, the cannabis genus of plants.

We’ll dive deeply into the role of endocannabinoids in the maintenance of metabolism and how this applies to clinical nutrition, including implications for metabolic diseases.

The seminar will focus on pragmatic, practical strategies for optimizing the endocannabinoid system, including methods both with and without the use of cannabis products. Case studies will be provided and students are encouraged to bring case studies for presentation and review.
