Mindful Eating Seminar
A 4-part webinar series for NTI students and graduates happening in April 2021
Join us, online, for this 4-part series on Mindful Eating, a profound way of relating to food. Mindful Eating provides an opportunity to pay close attention to the wisdom of our bodies as opposed to the harsh judgements we often listen to. When we bring mindfulness to our eating, we use all of our senses to be totally present in the moment, nurturing our bodies and spirit.
In this seminar, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge on what mindful eating is (and isn’t) and its vast influence on our relationships with food. You’ll learn insights and strategies to connect with body cues, building trust with our bodies and gaining knowledge on how to care and feed ourselves. You’ll identify internal and external triggers and ways to find calm and joyful presence when eating.
Using clinically relevant material for the nutrition therapist (CNTP, MNT, NTM), lessons will cover concepts from the psychology of eating, anatomy, neuroscience, mindfulness and the role of specific nutrients and senses. You will be prepared to apply a new knowledge of mindful eating to your practice. If you are interested in helping your clients to become a more conscious, balanced eater, then this is the seminar for you.
